Airfix 1/48 Spitfire I/IIa

I purchased this kit while in the final stages of making the Airfix 1/48th Spitfire IX. THAT kit is a difficult build, a lot of work to do to get a decent model out of it. However this kit, the I/IIa version looks like a wee honey. Looking at the basic components, the wing looks reasonable for thickness (maybe slightly over but good enough), the wing tips are the correct shape, and the details (such as trailing edges) are a lot better. This kit is exciting enough to jump to the head of the build queue, it looks like a comparatively quick build.
